Ronald W. Bly is Pastor of LeRoy Independent Baptist Church. A native of LeRoy, Ron left the area to attend Practical Bible Training School in Binghamton, New York from 1980-83, majoring in Pastoral Ministries/Bible. From 1982-87 he served as Minister of Youth & Visitation at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Vestal, New York until he was called by Draper Baptist Church of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania to serve as Pastor for the next 16 years.
During this time, Ron attended Practical Bible College a second time in 1995, graduating in 2000 with a degree in Religious Education. In 2005, he became Interim Pastor of LeRoy Independent Baptist Church, and the following year accepted a call to become the Pastor of LIBC.
He and his wife, Ruthie, returned home to LeRoy after more than 25 years. On February 5, 2006, Pastor Ron Bly officially began his ministry with an Installation Service held at the church. They count it a privilege to be able to minister in the community where Ron grew up. Pastor Ron and Ruthie have three grown children and several grandchildren.
